i usually ride on a public utility vehicle..especially on a jeepney, tricycle or bus..(because that's what i am using on my work to work..) what i hate about it was not the vehicle but the passenger itself..especially on a jeepney..here in the philippines,we use to seek help on the other passengers to pass our fee on the driver..what i hate about doing that if somebody would just ignore you and wouldnt mind helping you handover your fee to the driver..(pag hindi inaabot un bayad!)..sh*t..i really wanted to push away those passenger!..aarrgghh..!! and what i really hate about riding in a puv was your not convenient.. how about you?what do you hate about riding on a puv?

I am riding public utility vehicles almost the whole week, to be exact Mondays to Saturdays. I ride the Jeepney to work during weekdays. And what I hate about them is having the music to full blast all the time. I am a music lover but that is definitely too much for the ears to bear. Those stupid drivers can't even hear the passengers yelling for the driver to pull over. And most of the time, they simply passed the street already too much for the delight of the passenger who now has to walk a couple of meters to get to the right street/corner/place. And it is all because the Jeepney driver couldn't hear the passenger because of the very loud music. There are certain Jeepneys who have a certain string installed into their vehicle. So all you need to do in order for the driver to stop, just pull that string. But they don't work very well too, well not on a consistent basis. Another thing I hate about them is they seem to stop at every corner/block just to see if there would be any possible passengers to take with. I hate it. It is time consuming on the part of the other passengers and it is also causing traffic. And when there is traffic, then that is not good news for those commuters who are in a hurry. I have nothing against those Jeepney drivers who are simply making a living, but there are really those who are damn stupid. Just because there are people standing on the side walk, it doesn't mean right away that they are waiting for a Jeepney ride. Eventually the drivers just pull over and wait a couple a seconds just to realize that they won't be riding it anyway. Hmmm, another thing would be is they charge you wrongly. That is why I try to keep my fare as exact as possible. Though I hate riding the jeep at times, I rather take them instead of taking the taxi which is more expensive. Wow, now I realized that I really hate riding the Jeepney but there is really no other choice. Unless we could fly, then that would be much easier. He he he.

Being tall, everything about Public Utiltiy Vehicles is inconvenient. Space, which is average for most PUVs are too small. My knees hit the seats infront of me when I ride on buses. My head hits the ceiling of jeeps and Tricycles. Ventilation is also a problem for most PUVs but, I can handle those. PUVs here are not service oriented with convenience of patrons, more on earning I think. What you mentioned often happens when all passengers are tired or exhausted, thinking that other passengers would to the favor of reaching for your fare so they can't help but ignore those that do reach out.

You just happen to have very interesting discussions. My apologies if I seem to be bombarding them with posts of mine.. Also, when I'm nearer to the jeepney driver, I get to hand over the fare that other passengers pay for. One time, I was with this classmate of mine and someone handed their fare for me to give to the driver, I made a sly gesture of almost putting the money in my pockets, of course, that was just for laughs. When me and my classmate got off the jeep, she was looking at me in a reproaching way. When I asked why, she angrily stated that I stole one of the passenger's fare

thank you.. you didn't stole it right? some are so freakin rude that they will really stole other's change. like what happen to me. I ask the driver for my change but he said that he already pass it.. then I insist that , I never receive any change.. then he insulted me that am I really an educated person?..coz he thinks that I am lying..then I really cried and told him that "sige, para 10 lang eh..eh di sayo na yun!hindi yung iniinsulto mo pa ako.!"then I said para!..LOL. so that's it..basta,just keep on responding huh..

Well got no choice i am a public commuter when i go to work everyday from monday-friday. I think brandon is right about the things he hates on riding a public vehicle, let me add it another thing that i hate is when a person next to me has a body odor then keep on holding the steel bar haler as if he feels he smells so good he doesn't seem to care about his b.o. especially those who came from construction i cant take it, i'll get another jeep is my next option. And the last thing is those women who doesn't know how to tie their hair and their hair strand is hitting my face plus maybe free dandruff lol...

Most of the time I ride jeepney and a train going to work and vice versa. What I hate the most is the passengers who still insist to go inside even though they know that its not capable to move in.

I also usually ride on a public utility vehicle mostly bus when i have to travel for whatever reason. The thing i dislike is they are many pickpocket thiefs who jump in crowded buses and can rob you of your hard earned money and valuables. Then one gets pushed around in a crowded bus which one has to contend with. Not to mention the smokers who smoke at the expense of passive smokers like me. And drivers driving these vehicles dangerously to gather more passengers from their competitors. Also i don'tlike copassengers who would stand near the door even when their destination is yet to arrive at the expenseof passengers who have to get down at the bus stop. These days i prefer to take auto instead.

i use a bus every day to get to work, and of course to get home. What I hate about it is smelly people, why oh why cant they shower of a morning? is it too much to ask? do you think they actually know they smell. When it is wet, as it often is in England, it seems to be much worse blessed be

Sniffing armpits - Whew! smells bad
What I really hate about riding on the public utility vehicle is the bad smell of the vehicle itself and if you are referring to the public utility jeepneys here in the Philippines, those other passengers who are having a really BAD body odor.

Hehehehe.. let me dictate to you one by one what I hate about riding on PUVs: * Jeepney - The loud music in which the driver or the conductor doesn't mind eventhough they themselves already shouting when they are asking the destination of the passenger. - The driver as he drives his jeepney like a race car on a race track. It would be ok to me if we are all male inside, specially me coz im a thrill seeker. But if there are women/elders/children inside, he shouldn't be driving that way, if he still does im giving an angry look to the driver that if an accident will occur, im the first to throw punches on him. * Bus - on an aircon bus, i hate it if the conductor is compressing the standing passengers too much, coz that removes the purpose of the "aircon" bus. * Trycicles - If i'm in a place not familiar w/ me, and I have to ride a trycicle to reach my final destination, the driver will charge me.. let's say 30 to 50pesos for the fare. I wish I could ask the driver if his trycicle is a taxi, but since I'm not familiar to that place, don't have the right to argue.

i hate all the things that you've mentioned..ive experienced all of those.. i hate loud music on a jeepney..lately,ive encountered jeepney which has a loud sounds on his vehicle..as in loud..i love music, but he's making noise na..as in!..what i did was i shout at the driver.."MANONG!PAKIHINAAN NMAN!"..he minimize the volume a little..but it was still loud..so ive decided to stop over..coz i really cant take the noise.. what i hate about riding on a bus, when no man wants to give seats on a woman or on the elders..haiz.. tricycle-i hate drivers who will wait for so many hours just to full load their tricycle..it was so annoying, especially if your in a hurry..

Hei friend, There are no jeepney here in my country of indonesia. We have "mikrolet" as a public vehicle here. To tell you the truth, I hate the driver of the mikrolet. They drive mikrolet very bad. It make me uncomfortable. I can do nothing because when i told to the driver to drive more carefully, they did not listen to me.

What I hate most about riding a public utility vehicle, particularly, jeepney, are the following: 1. drivers who drive like crazy 2. ear-drum breaking sound which drivers call music 3. inconsiderate people who smoke during travel 4. people who spit 5. people who sleep with head swaying left and right, or resting head on unknown person's shoulder 6. maniacs who take advantage of girls in close sitting position 7. drunk people 8. sitting beside a bulky individual who actually occupies space good for two but still counted as one only. Oh my...Thank goodness, I work at home so I don't have to endure public rides everyday. :-)

I totally agree with all you've wrote in there.. so totally! "ear-drum breaking sound which drivers call music" Oh! I always requested those drivers to please just lower down the volume of their stereo..because it really freaking irritating into my ears.(well, they just don't know the difference between the music and the noise.) and what I also hate is that some jeepney drivers do love to play remix rap music with the ear-drum breaking beat. (that music s**k!) "inconsiderate people who smoke during travel" hell yeah!.. why don't they smoke first before they ride.. "people who spit" that's what I really hate about the people here in our country. they spit anywhere!, that is totally disgusting. I think that becomes a habit, and they're being so inconsiderate to our environment.(I hope that government will make actions with these, make a law and punishments for these people!) "people who sleep with head swaying left and right, or resting head on unknown person's shoulder." LOL. there's nothing wrong if they want to sleep inside the jeepney, but they should make sure that they'll find the right spot, and something (not someone please!) to lean on. "maniacs who take advantage of girls in close sitting position" oh crap! yeah. and sometimes they will just make an excuse that they'll just get money on their pocket. tsk.tsk.tsk. "drunk people" geeeeee! I've already encountered those people, and I'll never forget that they've tried to kiss me!f**k! what I did is that, I shouted at that person who tried to kiss me, and I really push him hard away from me! and good thing, the driver defended me for the offensive act they did. (I can actually sue them, but just don't want to waste time!) "sitting beside a bulky individual who actually occupies space good for two but still counted as one only." why don't they just hire a taxi for them to become more comfortable, and of course for us to be more comfortable also with our seats. (well, I can't blame them. taxi fares were actually a bit expensive than the jeepney.) well, good thing for you. you have your own business?..

Yes, I have an internet rental shop which I only visit once or twice a month for machine maintenance. (Well, I personally maintain my computer units because it's wiser and cheaper that way.) So literally speaking, I am simply a homebody who stays at home most of the time. :-) Thanks to computer technology I can now afford to do that. With computers and internet, there are so many stuffs one can do at home. I am a freelance contractor -- I do online and offline translation jobs, a bit of graphic layout/design services and desktop publishing, internet research, PC Troubleshooting and Repair, etc.
