I lost another STAR

What did I do to deserve such loss? Have I done something stupid? Have I ranted on other's discussion? Hurt someone else's feelings? Have I been tackless? Someone out there is angry at me for no reason at all? Have I done something against the mylot community?
I was busy replying/commenting to the members who replied to my discussion. I had an 8 then (which was sad because it went down from 9 without me knowing why). After posting a comment, the page refreshed and there I see it, just 7. I lost one of my stars in a matter of seconds!
What did I do? I know I must not let this affect me, but I don't wanna be a hypocrite, it does affect me... Can you enlighten me on this matter?

Just like you, my star went down also. From 9 it became 8 and I saw that it was just 81/100 already. I have not posted much from the last 5 days and I guess that it is the reason why it went down. I have also reached 10 before but it just went down to 9 and now its 8 already. I don't really know what is happening here but I guess that's just the way things work here...
I think it is not something about hurting other's feeling here or being tackless. I think it is just normal that our star rating are fluctuating.

It happened to me too, just today, when I connected.
I don't care, because I like my-lot, and I can say that
I have not too much time to write many posts in the same
day as others better rated do...
I like to be free to ask everything and answer all I want,
respecting everyone.
So I'm very happy of my lot community!

We all have lost point value on our stars, so no worries, it's not just you. I have replied to other discussions on this and think it may be a new rating system going into effect. If it is what I think it is, they will alert us soon. If it is a glitch, then probably they'll just fix it. Who really knows, I don't like going down, I feel like I did something wrong too, but seeing as it's across the board, I don't feel as bad now.

Don't feel bad because you are not alone. It looks like a lot of members had a decrease in their star rating. I've had a ten for a long time and just this morning it went down to an eight. Overall, I'm not sure that the ratings really matter, except that it makes people feel good when they have a high rating and it makes them feel bad when the rating decreases. Other than that, how does it really impact you overall? Not much. By the way, my earnings did increase nonetheless which makes me think there's a glitch in the system.

It was a glitch in the system alright, now our stars are back :) But you're right, stars musn't affect our overall perception in mylot, though it makes us feel down I know to see our ratings drop, but well, we can't please everybody, can we? Thanks for your reply hon...

same thing happened to me today, i too came from 9 to 8 , all the questions you asked apply to me also, even i dont know what i did, i could understand if it decreased gradually but suddenly a decrease of 15 points!!!!!!!!!!

This has to be a glitch.I mean overnight i dropped from a 10 to 8.whats going on and it has happened to alot of memebers to.

It seems there has been a glitch on Mylot for a couple of hours. It had an affect on everyone's star rating. People's rating had drop 10-20 points according to another discussion. I know this because yesterday night I had 9 star and today I have a 7. Since then, everyone has been posting new discussions asking why their star rating dropped. Thankfully, Mylot has been contacted by a user and they will solve the problem immediately.

I lost a star because I posted non-approved links in the make extra money section. Everybody does that and they delete the discussions, don't pay you for them and now I found out I lost a star as well.
Never mind it can happen.

before i had no star. i was so excited to get a star that i replied to many discussions as i possibly can. then i had a 9. i was so proud that i continued replying and making some comments. but these past days, i wasn't able to make replies and discussions. so, from a 9 i went to an 8. i'm sad, of course. buit i don't regret it. because i'm the one who neglected.

I don't know what to tell you because I lost two and I consider myself to be a very good mylotter. I respond to my friends discussions, I respond to people who respond to my discussions. I go and check their profiles and respond to their discussions. I don't think anyone hates me enough to drop me from 100/100 to 84 overnight. This is crazy.

This happened to me today. I was up to a 10 star and now I am down today to an 8 star. I have responded to about 40 discussions so far yesterday. So I am not sure why it went down. I guess people are not rating me good. But I am trying very hard to type meaniful posts. :-(

My dear it is only a star. Do not feel so bad about it. It does not help or hinder your pay. Look at my star, it is a seven as well, but I do not complain, I speak my mind and if others are offended, let them be offended.

Earlier when I saw these discussions about stars falling I didn't bother much. But just now I noticed that my star has gone from Yellow to White or 8 to 7. My popularity was 84 per cent but now it reads 74 per cent. I think 'mylot' would have done this in order to give us a challenge to score again. So we'll do it. No body's going to jail, so why worry.

Some people think your star can go down if you are gone a long time but I haven't been participating much in 2 months and I am still a 9. I have no idea how MyLot does their system. It's a mystery to me.

don t worry maple_kisses because this happen all time but the boss of the site will fixed the problem.
me to i have this kind of problem sometimes but after an time everything is ok.in one day i lose 1 star and after another day i recive 2.
so you must wait and will see after one day will have back you star.
i give you an + because this is my still and you are a good girl i think.don t be upsed please.

I do think that there are some people who just give negative ratings for fun. One time my star dropped down after I answered a discussion about religion. Of course my point of view was against the one who started the discussion. The very next day my start dropped to 9. I do think the person went to all my discussions and gave me a negative rating on many discussions and answers. It took me a long time to get it back to 10 with the help of my friends. Now I don't bother. Even right now I don't bother, it doesn't affect our earnings. Thank God it's that way otherwise if someone doesn't like you they will make it a point that you will not earn at all. Take care maple_kisses.
