American Idol Awards

I think they just did it to show their appreciation for all the people who came to the auditions. the most hilarious part was the 'best buddies' award, where the guy who simon referred to as a 'bush baby' came out hehe. when they showed the real bush baby picture, boy! both of them do look similar to each other LOL! apart from showing their appreciation, i think they just want to humour up the show..which is a good thing so that the audience wont be bored.

I thought the awards were funny and I feel that they wanted to do something entertaining and get some laughs. If I was one of those contestants, I would not want to be there. I would be embarrassed. I think they could have done without these silly awards. Those people that were nominated or won definitely can not sing. They could have found something better than those awards.

Well, it makes for an interesting Show. I guess it will only go to help give the ones who did not make it on the Show their one minute of Fame to help in a Career choice they might be wanting to pursue. I sort of felt Sorry for the 2 from Seattle... The one Simon refered to as the monkey. I guess this could have also been a ploy to help him as to why he said there is No Talent in Seattle? Who knows. I still think these 2 were Brave to come there as most people would have never wanted too after the remarks Simon made.

I thought they should have awarded more of the singers myself.They did last year.

I think that it was funny last year...and rewarding when Clay came out to sing after his impersonator won an award, but it seemed unnecessary this season. There were enough entertainment to go around.

I think they could have done without it. But I told my husband they are doing all this so we had to wait longer to find out who the winner was.
