star rating drops, is it really bothering you that much?

ok, everyone by now will have noticed that the star ratings have messed up, most people that had red or blue stars yesterday now have yellow, and those that had ratings of 9 or 10 in their stars are now 7 or 8...
but really if it is bothering you that much, why not send a message to all of your good friends on mylot asking them to rate you on every topic you write or respond to instead of moaning about the loss? i mean just work you way back up again...

Nah doesn't bother me at all. I dropped 7 points yesterday and only posted in one thread. It was a controversial one about Evolution and I rather expected the Christians to respond in such a fashion. I just consider the source and shrug my shoulders.

it doesn't bother me either, but from the looks of all the other topics i have seen, it bothers many people!
i doubt very much that you lost your rating through the one post you made yesterday, it may well just be a bug or glitch or something... meh never mind, life goes on!

Amen to that..lol I have read so many discussions where people are upset today because their star rating has went down. It obvious seems to have affected all of, or at least most of the mylot community. I had a ten yesterday and an eight today, but seriously now, I am not going to cry over it. I read someones discussion and they said...seriously, they were so sad about this. That is just nuts. I understand people take the time to respond with quality responses so that they can have a good rating, but really I am not about to let my rating here at mylot get me down..lol Anyhow, good post, good luck, I hope your rating goes back up. thank you for your response, but let me say, that i only made this topic because i really don't personally care about the star rating system, it doesn't affect the amount i earn, it doesn't have anything to do with how much i post and to an extent it really doesn't have anything to do with the content of my posts as people can be bias.
i do understand that some people here on mylot find it upsetting, i have noticed that some even believe that this knock down of reputation is down to offending others and being negatively rated... but i really don't care for myself lol.
i just thought that if it really was getting to people they should take an active stance on it rather than just posting idley about how terrible it is.

mine still hasn't gone back up to a red 9, but again i really don't care lol, if it does go up again, then so be it, otherwise, what does it matter really? i could happily go back to having no star.

It doesn't bother me yet, because I am still trying tofigure it out. It is kind of confusing. How do we know what certain colors mean? And is points really only matter on ratings? I think we should all just enjoy muylot for what it is.
