If you won a big lottery would you give notice at work?

If I won in a big lottery, I would surely leave my job and have my own business so I will be the boss. I will inform my officemates and boss that I will leave my job and I will file an early retirement since I have been working for 25 years, but I will not tell them that I won in a lottery. What I will do is treat my colleagues and friends to a party for my retirement from office.

Honestly, I would give 2 weeks notice. It would be an awesome last two weeks. In my experience everyone, including your boss treats you nicer because you are leaving and they know they need you to stick around while they find a replacement. Plus, its not like they can fire you if you are a bit late or something small because you've already quit! Besides, any lotto winnings you can expect almost half of to go to taxes, and whatever was left I would put at least half aside in investments, bonds and whatnot for the future. Whatever was left after that, I would most likely try to start my own business doing whatever I love to do so I could still generate an income and enjoy it and give whatever I don't need to live on to charities.

Oh, I would give them notice alright. I would march in there and tell them all to kiss my big fat hairy behind! And that ain't all I'd tell a few of them. I don't think I can go into all of that here. But, you can believe their ears would be red from hearing what I'd have to say to them!
