Do you listen to Metallica anymore? Since the copyright laws were enforced, due to groups like Metallica who wanted Napster shut down, because of free music downloads. Metallica now has their music played on the radio every hour. I quit listening to them and quit buying their cds. So my question is: Do you buy and/or listen to Metallica? Do you think they are greedy? Do you think they are right? Please give me your input, I would like to hear your oppinion.

I absolutely love Metallica, although mostly for their earlier works (although a lot of the later stuff was good too, especially the S&M album) and not considering the whole Napster thing and all that stuff. I just love the music. I don't listen to them as much as I used to, but that's only because I'm constantly searching for/discovering new metal bands that I haven't heard, and I'm listening to a pretty big variety of stuff. It also helps that I practically have the first 5 Metallica albums memorized, so I don't feel the need to listen to them as much.

Yeah, I found that by not listening to them I found alot of other Metal bands out there. Dont get me wrong. I like their older music from the 80's and I listen to that. But none of the new stuff! Thanx for your response! Peace:-)

I have never listened to Metallica, nor ever will. However they are by no means the most greedy of bands, nor the most pushy in terms of trying to ban piracy, copyright and the like.

I stopped awhile ago. But that's only due to the music they came out with, I just didn't find it worthy of buying awaymore and I'm not about to download it because it wasn't worth the money in electricity. kudos, ~Joey

I don't listen to them anymore. Sure they have some classics like Nothing Else Matters, and they are very capable musicians, but maybe it's just me, I'm not listening to them anymore.

It's good to hear that you are a die hard listener. These famous people need fans. With out die hard fans these groups fade out. Good for you. and happy listening!

I listen to a few songs off of Ride the Lightning and Kill Em All. I think they're being greedy, so just to destroy their ideology I don't buy their music. While bands do need support, realistically, the labels eat up most of the profit from CDs anyways.
