There is a shooting and you are a witness or maybe there is a beating and you are a witness. Your not the only witness there are many witnesses but there is a code of silence that no one talks about but everyone knows. The police can't find the culpret you did the deed. It was serious enough that someone died in that incident. Will you Snitch?

without a doubt. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I knew something that important and didn't share it with the authorities. In a situation like that the culprit must be caught and punished for the crime! We are our brother's keepers.

that is exactly how I feel. I have seen where people don't tell because they are afraid that the criminal would come after them do you fear that happening. I think I would in some cases and that worries me. I would not want my fears to rule out whether or not I turned someone into the police or not. Would it affect you? If I felt sure my life or families life were in danger I would still do it but anonomously.

Absolutely! I don't consider that snitching at all. I see it as being a good citizen. There has to be repercussions for crimes and without witnesses it would often be hard to prove anything and deliver the punishment which is needed. That is my two cents anyways. cheers,

I was wondering if you were a teenager at school and someone got shot would you tell someone even if every one else didn't. I am curious about this subject because on the news a boy got killed in a toronto school. There are witnesses they say but no one is talking. I was thinking I would of talked that was the type of kid I was. I would of thoought it to be the right thing to do. But now that I am older and realize that telling the truth sometimes in situations like that can bring a lot of back lash. At the same time I think how in heck can these students not tell the truth. I am sure someone well anonomously but still I am appauled that everyones initial reaction is to keep quiet. They don't want to snitch on someone I heard someone say. What? Someone gets gets killed and someone doesn't want to snitch. That is in a teenage situation so I think what would adults do. I think majority of us would tell with out blinking an eye and some anonomously which is okay to.

Of course I would snitch!! If there was a crime and I knew I could do something to put an offender behind bars, or to prevent things from getting worse, or to prevent it from happening again, I would. If I felt I needed protection I'd ask the police for help, or just get out of town for a while. It's happened to me before.

I love your response. "Of course I would snitch!" That is what all of our reactions should be! I just have noticed with news stories that people don't speak up. It is sad to see.

At that point I wouldn't call it snitching...I'd call it being responsible.

Absolutely, how could I not and still live with myself. I don't consider that being a snitch rather I think of it as being human. I would never stand by and watch anyone be injured without telling the proper authorities. After all, that could be me or a family member and then what. Just my thoughts...

I would have surely informed the police but anonymously. Why should I get into trouble for the things I haven't done. I would have openly told it to the police if there was honesty but nowadays even the top officials are bribed by the wrong-doers. So before finding the culprit they will find you and may even finish you. But we can neither keep quiet due to our guilty concious. The innocent should always get justice, right?
