Often friends are not only different nationalities, but different religions, with different political view. Since the internet, the world becomes smaller. I am able to make friends from all over the world. Most of the time we communicate by email or MSN. I will also contact them by Skype if it's necessary.

Absolutely, that is something that I have always had. I don't like to stick to people simply because of their nationality or their cultural background. I will make friends and associaite with people who are like me personally and with interests, so a lot of times my personality does not fit into one nationality or culture; in fact, it seems as though I feed off many different types of interests that fit with all kinds of people. I love having friends who are very different in other ways, because there always seems to be something new. It never becomes a consideration for a person's nationality. That never factors into my choices for friends.
