Does the Star Really Matter?

Does the Mylot Star really matter? What does the color mean and what does the number inside mean? Who does it matter too? You or Mylot? If it matters; why does it matter? Someone teach me please? Is there a place to learn about it here I have not noticed anything about the stars only people talking about losing there star statis.

I think that the rating system here is a good thing...although I have seen people become targets here and loose rating staus quite quickly at times.... I think that quality discussions and responses are the key...being able to objectively disagree with a person is also of high importance... I am proud of my reputation....it lets me know that the people that I have met here think highly of me.... Happy myLotting....

Okay, I can see, I have to bond with my star. Hmmm okay I think I am begining to understand this now. I read it on the mylot page when I joined but I dismissed it pretty quickly as something I didn't need to worry about. Now I see I do my star represents me. Okay, I get it! I will pay more attention and to this star and everyone's star!
