Hi, this is pond boy, Modestah's son. I was just wondering if you prefer nvidia or ATI graphics cards? I personally prefer Nvidia because of their better price to performance ratio. Sure ATI has slightly better performance, but nvidia makes much more affordable cards. Also do you use an integrated or discrete graphics solution? i.e. do you play games on your pc? Finally what gpu do you have? I have the nvidia 7600 gt.

Well I've always preferred NVidia. I'd like to believe ATI makes cards that are just as good, but everytime I try an ATI card I have problems with it. I have just had much better luck with NVidia. Right now my main comp has a GeForce 6800GT card. It's a bit outdated but still an excellent card.

I've been with nVidia for most of the time, and never had any problems with it. And yes i mostly use my computer for games and design, which needs a good graphic card. At the moment i'm using nVidia GeForce 7900 GT/GTO (on PCI slot), which is overheating at the moment, but i'll buy a new fan as soon as possible.

I have always been a lover of Nvidia, and my current card is the Nvidia FX5200. As you have already said the performance is very good for the price of the card, and since I do not play interactive or graphics intensive games on my computer it is more than adequate for my needs. Sadly, the card has developed a fault and has been causing havoc with my system, so I shall have to replace it this weekend. I am seriously considering trying an ATI card for a change.

i'm running an ATI right now, though i've had nvidia in the past.i wasn't too thrilled with the graphics excelleration on that one.if you played something like command and conquer and there was a lot on the screen,it froze or slowed down too much. my all time fave was a voodoo card i used to have, but they stopped making them. nvidia bought up the company, but they pretty much stopped support of the card anyway :(
