Do you believe that acquitance softens prejudice?

I believe by meeting people and having acquitance with them sometimes and most of the times softens prejudice and misunderstanding between people.

I do not agree with you. Acquitance can tell us about a person and if a person is bad, prejudice against him remains very much there.
