What are they? Are they a physical place? If they are a physcial place, how can a non-physical soul go there? Is there a physical soul? Could you be in Heaven or Hell now? Do you believe in Heaven and Hell? If you don't, do you have a similar belief?

this is easy. think of when you die. you would be in heaven when all worldly concerns are taken away from you ... and you are in hell when your spirit is stuck in the same spot when you die and you have to relieve the pain repeatedly. still not buying? ok heres a better one, similar to the above but this time.. think that you die and are buried 6feet under the ground. you wake up. heaven is when you know God will hear your cries and take you away from the hole in the ground. hell is you are stuck there and you cannot die again. you lie there in the coffin while the coffin slowly rots and falls on top of you. and still you cannot die...HELL starts when you ask God for help and realise God has turned his back on you!

Heaven is a place of utter bliss. It's a place of contentment. Hell on the other hand is a place of torture.

torture is nothing if you still have hope. HELL is when God turns his back on you. think of it this way. you are caught in a burning building and your cloth is ablaze. you pray to God to end it soon. In HELL you are ablaze with no end in sight. torture? pain? those are not HELL. HELL is a state of hoplessness when God turn his back on you.

Christianity teaches heaven is a real physical place. You will be there physically in your own body, but this resurrected body will be perfected and glorified. You will be in the presence of your Creator and physically re-united with your loved ones. As for hell, I don't know how physical it is. Hell is the eternal prison of the unsaved, with each miserable creature locked up forever within the dungeon of its own small, endlessly revolving mind.

i believe that early morning is the best period of my day.the wind is cold, birds are singing, flowers are looking and smelling beautiful.there is a innocent silence in the atmosphere.i am also in very good mood in this kind of environment, its like heaven for me.when day passes i come in contect with the world and physical and mental pain starts.that pain make me feel the hell of the day. at night i go to sleep and the next day the sun rises, and the cycle is repeated.

Wow, this is not such a simple topic! There is much to be said about this subject. I believe it to be what the Holy Bible says they are. I don't believe them to be a physical place and it does say that it is a place for the afterlife. I don't believe that I am in a Heaven or Hell now, however, with this life on earth, it sometimes seems like I could be! I believe they are there for us for after this life. We do not live forever and thus our spirit has to go somewhere when our bodies quit working. Both places are there to separate those who love God from those who hate God. Heaven is where God dwells and it was God's intention that we all make it there but even God knows not all will because He gave all of us a free will to choose what to believe and how we want to live. The reason why I believe in an afterlife, is because of how God made Adam, there was a difference in how he was made from the animals. God spoke His word for everything else to come into existence. But with man, God formed him with His own hands out of the earth and breathed life into him. God is a spirit and therefore breathed part of His spirit into Adam to give him life. We have a spirit within our physical body. That is a partial reason why I don't believe evolution either, but that is another discussion. After Adam & Ever, I believe that our spirit enters us at the moment of conception.

I think if we do a good act u will get good resuts that is heaven and if one do a bad act he is going to get bad results and bad result is hell means diseases worries, tension etc.our rebirth is depends upon a lot of our actions so if we do good act we will get reward in this life or in after life same goes with hell also.i dont think there exist there an extra place called heaven and hell .heaven is here and hell is here.

Heaven and hell represent everlasting life, good and evil. For those of us who are christians and walk on this earth valueing our relationship with the trinity we aspire to go to heaven and more than likely will first go to pergutory to do penance as we are all sinners and not able to equal Jesus in our daily lives though we should aspire to in all of our thoughts, actions and plans. For those who worship the devil and live evil lives, causing others harm and plotting/scheming to lie, cheat and steal they will forever pay for their sins. The life we live today is not the end of our lives. It determines where we go from here. Our souls are not physical. Our bodies become dust, ashes to ashes when we stop existing in the physical. Our souls go on to the next life everlasting.
