Education system - does this need a revamping?

I talk,abt this topic, with the kinda eduction system, that we have in our country, especially in High school levels.
ya,If you can afford to spend some lacs of money, your child is definetely an Engineer or a Doctor.
Only thing you have to do, is get your child passed in high school level, by making him to mug all the topics/subjects and make him to pass the examination.Your child gets more marks the money you have to give for capitation fee may be less.
My question is If all the colleges go this way of being money minded,how come the poor, with the bright children, get their aspirations fullfilled? Why not they make education free for all. How about the education syestems in the countries of my comarades in mylot?

I too feel that there is a strong need to change education styem in india. I am also an indian you are very right now a days money is the whole thing. I will consider our goverment is giving free education at least upto 12th standerd as the fee is very low and government can't makeup salaries to all teachers envolved just from the fee they collect on monthaly basis from a single student. as per as heigher education is concern there is also huge sum of diffrence between goverment and private collages so i feel government is doing well in this regard.
I think there should a complete change in education curriculam as it should not be only for sake of eduacting people but at the same time it should be self employment oriented. As now a days india is facing a too much unemployment problem.
education should teach us both how to make a living and how to live?
