Should we go well before time to the examination hall?

I never go well in advance to the examination hall and sit there. Although I am well-prepared I purposely go on time and write the exam. I think the crowd there making last minute preparations gets your concentration level down. What do you think?

In my opinion u are right if u know the examination hall well in advance it means suppose ur giving a competative exam and center of examination is some where else then what? So in my case I go to the hall well in advance means in no way i can be late( either by transport, or any other) then i choose a lonely place i do my work like any to recall or any thing to study or making myself ready keeping my mind cool relaxing from the journey if i made, etc., even if any one approach me i will not study just i have fun and enjoy The above all i will do if i prepared for the exam well-in-advance Other wise i will spend time by refering books and approaching to my friends for any clues

Well, a good response from you. But I don't even try to recall whatever I have studied. If by chance I do not recall the points I have experienced that I get nervous. Whenever I start writing the paper the points just start flowing to me...Thank you for responding.

I go to the examination hall early. I just like to know that I'm all set and it gives me time to calm down to concentrate. Also, watching other people do all those last minute preps helps me recall some information that may not have been concrete before. I don't know, I guess everyone has their own way of doing things.

I respect your views on going early to the hall. But if I find the crowd doing those last preparation and if someone by chance asks me something and if I don't recall the answer I get nervous. Thank you for responding.

I would arrive in advance. Not too long to where I start getting anxious but just enough time to get myself settled, and get everything in its place. Early enough to get a preferred seat if possible, in the back row so I don't feel like someone is watching me (I can't stand having people behind me). All of this is only possible if there aren't assigned seats or whatever. Thankfully I am taking all of my courses online so I don't have to go and sit in a room with a bunch of other people to take a test. I can do it where I feel comfortable and secure. Although, this semester (I am taking one class this summer) I have to go to the college to give an oral presentation as part of my final. I am not looking forward to that let me tell you. I have never been good speaking in front of people for any period of time. Oh well, I will have to suck it up and deal with it if i want to pass this course. ;)

All the best for you oral presentation. I go 10 min in advance on the first day, and from there on I reach the hall just 1-2 min in advance. Once we know our location why hurry...thank you for responding.

For me, I am quite different from you. When I was studying, I try to go early because one will never know if he will be delayed along the way to school. I always make sure I reach the exam hall some time in advance. I see people studying but I will just walk around doing nothing and talking with people maybe. But I don't want to look at my notes again.

I agree with that. Going early might do good to you if you stay at a far of place. But for me the collge is so near that even if I dont use a vehicle and go running I reach within 5 minutes. Thank you for responding.

I never ever do such a thing. I don't see much point in studying at the hall, and I do all my preparation beforehand. The only viable reason you would go there in advance would be if you didn't know where it was.

that's true. Why struggle the last moment when sufficient time is given for preparation before exams.

yes, definitely. it is always better to maintain your cool and avoid last hour rush while going for the examination. One must reach atleast one hour prior to the examination hall.

I agree with you. But going an hour earlier to the examination hall would be boring, right? I mean, what's the need to go there so early. I prefer to stay at home and study in the silent atmosphere rather going to the crowded place and lose all my concentration. Thanks for responding.

It doesn't matter for me. Because I always feel lonely in a crowded situation. And I'm not good in making preparation he.. he...
