Other Countries

Outside the U.S. how do other countries deal with depression? Seems U.S. has a pill for most everything and the drug companies are wealthy! Something wrong with that picture.

India? I recall hearing they had a pill which was better for most people. (so far no one took their life) etc Otherwise I don't know. I deal with hard times mentally by myself without the need to pop a pill. ~Joey

I am living in Nicaragua and I think probably the men deal with depression by drinking. There are medications available for most everything here just like in the USA, although for the most part it is considerably cheaper unless it has to be imported from the USA. I don't see too many people suffering from depression here. But you can't always tell by looking.

yes pills are not always the answer but they are in some cases too, the united states also has therapy, lobby groups support groups etc
