So do you think other gas station owners will follow suit?

I read in the Fort Worth Star Telegram today that a gas station owner in Wisconsin shut down his pumps for 24 hours on Thursday the 24th in protest against the high gas prices. I applaud him for his efforts. Maybe/hopefully more gas station owners will do something similar. I heard the other day that the reason the prices are so high is because of low supply and high demand. Basic economics 101 but I never really understood it until now. The oil companies just LOVE that. I bet they're not pushing for the supply level to go up any time soon. They make their profits either way.

1and1, I remember those gas rationing days, I was a child but those days were hell. It must be how it used to be when people would stand in line for a loaf of bread......... As for other stations following suit, I really doubt it. I would be all for not buying any gas on any particular day if they were to institute more protest days. Eventhough I have a small car I have aleady, almost drastically, cut back on my traveling. I talk to my mom more by phone now than ever before and I do the same for friends and other family members....... The oil companies are blowing smoke up our - and I won't help them jerk me around.....Greed, greed, greed. Good for this guy/lady for taking a stand and taking a stand with the people....
