Probably this proverb denotes one should spend according to his capacity, after allocating for family savings. The credit cards are tempting us so much that we are going into debt traps. Similarly consumerism is also driving us crazy. Money is spent beyond our capacity due to mass influence. Anything like this have you experienced? Please with 1 instance, respond.

I totally agree with this statement.Personally i haven;t experience an occasion where i would spend more than i have.Actually i could say i am of this opinion to have some savings for times of emergency.I dont understand people that get cards they spend and when they have to pay the money back they are AMAZED of how this happened.Consumption is good, but we all have a mind that can think putative consequences!

That is so true. With Christmas coming up soon in America, many will overspend and then spend the year trying to catch up again. YesI have overpent before and regretted it later.

Very well said. This is age old saying. Sometimes, I buy more than required and next month I will be in lot of trouble to adjust the purchases to the budget. overspending will always result in less spending next month and it is difficult to forego certain things dur to lack of funds.
