Good news! She's moving her kittens...

A few weeks ago I posted about how our cat had her kittens but we didn't know where they were. Since there had been no sign of them I was beginning to get worried that something had happened to them. Even did another search earlier today in every place in the yard the could possibly be but found nothing. After that I had pretty much given up. Then just as I was getting ready to leave I heard a very distinct kitten meow from under the house! As of when I left it only sounded like one and coming from a place that only a cat could get to but the mother cat had wandered off so I suspect she was fetching another one. I am so happy, they will be much safer I'm sure where they are and it also means that we will be seeing them soon!

It is exciting! It's been quite awhile since we've had any baby animals.

Aww...if you lived anywhere near me I'd even let you have one! (once they come out and can leave their mom of course! lol)

I'm a bit jealous, I haven't had baby animals in YEARS! I want to touch a little kitten or puppy...can you bring one over? LOL

I was thinking about logging off for the night and I am glad I checked the new discussions one more time. I was hoping I would hear some good news about your kittens. I had worried about the little darlings. I am glad she is bringing them closer to you. Yep, they will be wanting to explore soon. Thanks for the update.

You're welcome! We can hear them but they're safely tucked in to a spot under the house that's inaccessable to us. Mama cat found it though and I'm guessing it's nice a cool and shady in there for them. Plus it's probably a lot easier for her to look after them. She'd started to look a little too thin I think from going back and forth checking on them and spending so much time away from the food dish. Now her outside dish (we aren't bring her inside at all right now anyway) is within 15 feet roughly of where the kittens are and she's already looking better!
