what is your favourite quote from literature? Mine is from Terry Pratchet when he advised, be careful with history, too much of it can kill you. So what is yours?

I'm not sure if this is from a book or if he just said it, but it's a very nice and very true quote: "The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems." - Mohandas Gandhi

Actually this is not from the literature, this line is from the movie "Maid in Manhattan" this line inspired me so much. I thought I may share this : "What we do doesn't define us who we are, what defines us most is how well we have risen from falling" :).

This is from The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Rings by JRR Tolkien ~~"All you have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to us"~~~ Isn't that true?? I wonder if Tolkien realized the bit of philosophy he used when writing that?

I would have to say my favourite quote is from my favourite author of all time...Charles Dickens. The quote comes from A tale of Two Cities "It was the best of times...it was the worst of times" This has been the case so often in my life and it really gets you to thinking. cheers,
