Why is Zac Efron/Troy Bolton not in High School Musical Concert?

I know he is doing some other show that is fixing to come out, I heard about it on MTV. I think it is some broadway type show, not a movie, but I am not sure what it is called. So he was probably busy with that! It seems to me that he wasn't to move on to bigger things!

mmm.. too bad for him... the concert isn't complete without him... and that drew guy took his place...
i'm just waiting for the part 2...

basically,
in HSM1 they mixed his voice with Drew Seely's and if you compare the HSM soundtracks, HSM2 and 3 sound different to HSM1, meaning they used about 40% of Zacs voice and 60% of Drews in HSM1 so thats why they used him,because Zac couldn't sing aswell as he can now, back then.

He was busy filming the movie Hairspray...another movie that I am really looking forward to, only because Zac Efron is in it!
