What is the most annoying sound?

For me it has to be the old 'fingernails scratching or scraping on a chalkboard'. It makes me toes curl up just thinking about it. After that it would have to be the sound of a dentists drill. And after that it would have to be someone talking nonstop about jesus, through jesus, the lord jesus in every sentence for an hour. Don't get me wrong I'm not an atheist, I'm a believer, but I just get annoyed when someone mentions jesus and the lord in every sentence non-stop, on and on. I don't mean to offend anyone by saying this, I apologize ahead of time if I have.

the most annoying sound to me is when the keys are left in the cars ignition as the door opens..drives me batty!

I'm Deaf now so all I can respond to is the 20 years that I was hearing...the thing that always bothered me the most was malicious gossip.

The most annoying sound to me is snoring. I cannot stand it. There are a few other sounds that i do not care for as well. decorating sounds from next door, mowers, hsiing sounds when men breath through their hairy noses.

Very true!! I would rather enjoy silence than meaningless conversations. I also hate it when people hum while doing something and you can't get the tune out of your head after you walk away. Very annoying and irritating!!
