Yepper, tho the upgrade is available, anyone can download LimeWire for free and bootleg music CDs and videos till the cows come home. Sounds great doesn't it?
Well, it is if you don't care about the Grokster and Kazaa viruses that are included in your free LimeWire download. eTrust PestPatrol cleans them up pretty quickly, but still it is a nuisance to have to minimize my multitasking to one thing while running scans to clean this crap off my pc. The question I have is WHY on EARTH would someone upgrade? Do the viruses go away upon upgraded membership?
So, are there any other LimeWire users here that took forever to figure out that's why their pc is acting up?My oldest stepson's advice is to "spend a couple-few days downloading whatcha want then uninstall that b\tch." (Don't worry, he's 30 years old, he can say what he wants, lol).
Tell me your free download "horror" stories. I'm running scans and I'll be here at myLot quite a while today...help keep the ole big mouth entertained, will ya?

I only tend to download music these days, if I need particular software I goto the "boys" that know what is best.
I've known for a long time about the virus issues regarding Slimewire so never bothered with it, I prefer using Soulseek, I've yet to do a music search with it & not get a result. & as you know, my musical tastes are not the mainstream, so finding what I like takes some doing.

Everytime I open up Limewire it prompts me with 'UPGRADE' now! LOL. Promising you faster downloads and access to more music files and downloads, yeah, yeah but for some reason on my Mac it doesn't seem to work 100% in that it freezes the Mac and I get this damn egg timer thing come up when I ask it to search for songs, more often than not it'll crash the system, so I hardly ever use it to be honest, upgrade? laughs out loud yeah RIGHT, where's me check book PMSL
