magazine subscriptions with gifts

i was wondering if anyone buys the magazine subscription when its on special offers like the free gifts. what do u do with them and why do u get them, also what was your best one.
i buy them and save the gifts for xmas or birthday presents, the best one i got was 3 issues for £1 and a box of original source stuff free. they also made the mistake of sending 2 boxs free instead of 1 :-)

There have been a few times that I've bought magazine subscriptions AS gifts, lol. Hubby really enjoyed a few years of his favorite racing magazine and my daughter liked her nickelodeon subscription so much that she asked my sisters for another year when it got close to being expired. It was a great way for my sisters to shop for birthday gifts she really got some use out of too. As she got older, the magazine might change but her interest in reading lasted all year. :)

My sister will usually put the extra gifts into a gift box and usually keeps it pretty full so she always has a small gift for any last minute occasions. :)
