Im sitting at my computer and of course Im on mylot.LOL So every once in awhile I glance up and look out my window. I see my neighbor using one of those lawnmowers it is so old its a manual one. Thats the way I know how to explaine it.LOL But its really hot out there and he is almost running with this thing. LOL Im like wow where the heck does he get that energy from? When Im out in the heat it slows me down. Do you think I should go over and tell him to slow it down a bit?heheheh Because he just might fall over. How do you cope in hot weather?

He must be getting a healthy doze of his vitamins daily. Hehehe! He probably does mowing as a form of exercise so it keeps him going even with the hot weather. Even I could not withstand too much heat outside without at least an umbrella because it's really hot here in our country especially during summer. Your neighbor must have a great tan already from lawnmowing. =D

The guy must have super powers that are fueled from sweat! I hope he has had plenty of fluids. When the weather is so hot and humid, I drink plenty of water and take periodic breaks. This is the only way to get through it.

Thats kind of funny! I have a self propelled mower and I still feel like I am about to fall out after I do the grass. It is pretty hot here... in the 90s or so. I just try to stay in till about 630 ish and then we stay out till about 830ish. I feel like it is a better time and I think my kiddo needs to get out too.... But heat never really slows me down per say I just try to get it done and then head in for a shower and an ice cold one!

It might be a good idea to keep an eye on him, so you can call the ambulance when he drops. Some people don't seem to be bothered by the heat and some don't realize just how fast it can make you sick. I have a police scanner and yesterday there were many calls about people who had got sick from the heat. I hate the hot weather. We hit 92 yesterday. Thank god today is cooler.

My grass needs to be cut right now, but I'm waiting till after dinner tonight to do it. I don't even attempt to do it during the day when the sun is so hot. I would be passing out! I would much rather do it first thing in the morning, or in the evening after dinner. The weather is a bit cooler then.

the best way for me to cope with the hot weather is to turn my airconditioning but the way i really do it during the day is to keep myself busy and really sweating it out because when the body sweats , it releases all the heat stored in the body.thus, becoming like a coolant, after the sweat then comes the cooling effect.of course, i have got to replenish it with a cold water down my throat or a cold bottle of gaterade to replenish my water.

That is so funny! tell him to come on down to Texas and mow my grass for me!! I was outside with my kids earlier today and it lasted about 30 minutes, and I was just sitting on the porch not doing anything! The heat is so miserable I don't even like getting out of the house to go to the store or anything!! I can't imagine running around my yard mowing the grass-with an old mower =)

I have an electic one that you just push about and that is hard work, even more so in the heat. I can only think your neighbour is super fit. I don't really enjoy cutting the grass and if I could get away with it I would just let it grow long.

I'd keep an eye out for your neighbor to make sure he's okay...and who knows? Maybe offer him a glass of iced tea or even just water...one came be overcome by heat very quickly and especially doing any kind of strenuous exercise or work---As for me? I hate, hate hate the summer heat...and it's not even THAT hot out yet...gee, just wait until we get those lovely humid days...Whenever I go out I always carry a bottle of water especially those vitamin waters that have a slight flavor to them..I tend to get dehydrated real quick

That man better slow down, people have heart attacks when mowing lawns. And that is with regular powered mowers and walking! I like to get in the water if possible if it is hot. If not, shade and a cool drink are also helpful. YOu wouldn't catch me out running in the noon day sun, pushing a manula mower.
