Has anyone ever taken a complaint to a small claims court?

I'm having a small dispute over a payment made to a local real estate company and I want to know if I should take this to small
The amount is less than $500, however, I want to know if it's worth it to take this to small claims court or if I should hire an attorney.
Any idea what to do?
(I don't want to discuss the details, but I paid for a service and I don't think I'm getting my money's worth.)

nope never. sometime you ahve to ask yourself if the time spend in court is worth the hassle of getting back your money.
