Fractured tail bone giving birth??

I have never had this happen, but I swear I can almost feel the pain thinking about it. I couldn't imagine what that must have been like. There is only one word that really describes it and thats OUCH!

Yep, it happened to me with my first. I had already fractured it a few years before and it never even dawned on me that I'd have a problem with the delivery. But they used forceps to get her out and evidently, they rebroke my tailbone while they were doing it. Since it was my first baby, I didn't know what to expect as far as pain afterward but I just kept thinking, This is terrible! I was in so much pain, I couldn't hardly walk! And sitting was next to impossible. I either laid down or stood as much as possible because sitting hurt so bad.

wow, i'm so sorry for you. i've never heard of that happening to anyone before. how did the doctors react? did they say it was something that sometimes happens?
