When I was in highschool I wrote these journal entries, as my reaction as a late teen to the politics of the Clinton Administration. - DNatureofDTrain
-------
"The New Impeachment War"
At first I believed he should be impeached. Now, I do not believe Clinton should. He should have to be punished in some way for lying to the U. S. in his apology, and doing it again. This isn't no longer about Clinton, it is about giving political parties a bad name.
-------
(I toned down my words a little for this post.)
-------
"The Lewinsky Legacy"
It is sad, that the press are digging up every little details about Clinton's private life. They should bring up only what matters for the impeachment charges, and not every little personal detail of his sorry-private life..
----------
"Tracking Terror"
I hope they find charges against Bin Laden soon. If he succeeds in destroying the U. S. he probably will help anyone destroy other countries in his favor. His power should not be misunderstood. The CIA and FBI should keep up their good work.
------------
Hope you enjoyed readings a few thoughts I had written from the past.. Feel free to post your responces to these.. but please keep them nice, clean, and respectful.
Thanks,
- DNatureofDTrain

I do think Clinton performed acts which were worthy of impeachment but his impropriaties weren't among them. Those may be grounds for divorce but not impeachment. When he had FBI files in the White House illegally, that actually was an impeachable offense but since the files he had were on congressional members, that was quietly swept under the carpet. On the other hand, our current president has committed many impeachable offenses and no doubt they won't even begin impeachment proceedings as they did with Clinton. In my opinion Bush is guilty of acts of high treason but if congress charges that then many of them would have to answer similiar charges, as well as, the supreme court for appointing a president. In the case of the supreme court, a body appointed by the presidency appointed a president, this is the very definition of conflict of interests and is NOT granted to the court anywhere in the constitution.

I did not know about the files.. But maybe all the innappropriateness stuff was used to cover up and distract from that, yes, that is grounds for impeachment. Thanks for sharing, for those of us who missed that part in all of this. - DNatureofDTrain
