It kind of freaks me out. He'll be fast asleep but starts talking, and it isn't sleepy talk either, his voice sounds exactly like when he's awake. Last night he was talking about how there is too many babies in the house! LOL!! I thought that was funny because he wouldn't say that while he's awake. I wonder if people talk about stuff in their sleep that they are thinking and don't really want to say!

Your user name is correct, cute boys! LMAO at what he said! My son doesn't say much that I can understand, so he babbles in his sleep. It scares me when I hear it one the monitor. My husband talks in his sleep too, but it's always weird combinations of words like "monkey brain tree fart". My best friend and her sister shared a room when they were growing up, I used to hate sleeping over because they would talk to each other in their sleep!

LOL.. how funny is that-- Which son is this? the oldest one?-- My daughter also talks in her sleep- It is usually what she is dreaming and makes no sense to me- I often times will give her a kiss on the cheek and tell her I love her when she is sleeping and talking - she wakes me up- Usually I do this when it sounds like she is arguing or having a bad dream- she usually stops and smiles- and then I don't hear anymore- Isn't it funny-- sleep talkers- I don't talk in my sleep.

Everyone at our house regularly talks in their sleep! lol My husband says funny stuff when he's asleep. He will start yelling at the dogs because they won't fix him toast, or some other equally crazy thing. My son has just figured out how to get out of the crib. Yesterday, during nap time, he got out of the crib, and fell right back asleep within 5 minutes, laying on his changing pad and cuddling with a stuffed monkey. Well, a few minutes later I heard him talking, and snoring at the same time. I opened his door a little bit, and he was petting his toy, saying "Woodie's (our dog) nice to Elmo and Elliott."

My 11 year old talks in her sleep, well it is more like yelling. After a hard day of fighting with her brother she carries it over into sleep. She will scream and yell at him. Most times she will scream "shut-up bubba", "stop it bubba" and such. My ex use to talk in his sleep also. One night he actually shook me awake and asked me "have you ever tried to put a full cat in a catbox before?". I have no idea what he was talking about but you can bet I was really mad about being woke up in the middle of the night for that kind of question lol.

Both my husband and son talk in their sleep. My son actually does it quite often.

when my hubby hollers at me to move in the middle of the night, i get upset, and of course he won't remember anything, well i told him he's probably holding something back and sub-consciencely is saying these things, ha! i don't know, but maybe your son's feeling a little bothered by something?

My son used to talk alot in sleep. Now he does more moving around then anything. You will see his arms motioning, or his legs moving like he is walking or running. What used to really freak me out was when he would fall asleep and his eyes were not closed all the way.

It might well be that your son is expressing what is in his mind subconsciously. My sons have been known to argue with each other in there sleep, even when they are no where near each other sleeping. I've discovered situations listening to their talking while sleeping where one will have been slighted (or at least feel slighted) by the other as a result, when during the day they let the situation ride as they seldom argue when they are awake.
