Sci- fi and action: can be summed up with the recent release: CHILDREN OF MEN, very good STRANGER THAN FICTION is subtly quirky, pretty good, not ha ha comedy but more drama comedy...Will does some great deadpan acting in it PAN'S LABYRINTH is awesome...war movie with some fantasy elements...it is subtitled in Spanish though..very excellent film. I am guessing you have a certain list of movie available to choose from...could better answer if you were deciding between some particulars.

The movies i've watched recently are not really worth it to repeat inside a movie house again. But if you're gonna buy, then I recommend Shrek 3 if you want a slapstick kind of comedy, Italian Job will make you "whoah!" which is a really really good movie, one of my favorites. If you're going for some action, I recommend The Enemy at The Gates or probably Pearl Harbor and Spiderman 1,2,3. Or better yet, 300 is my most recommended! If you're into sci-fi, well I think Star Wars would be the best, although i'm not a fan of it, but I think it's still a great movie.

Well Behind Enemy Lines is an awesome movie. It's action just straight out an amazing movie. Put it this way, you'll always be in the mood to watch it no matter what you're doing or how you feel. Have you seen The Bourne Identity or The Bourne Supremacy? These movies are quite action-packed too. Their very intense and actiony and bottom line a very good action movie. If you like comdey you should watch Next Friday. This movie is pretty hilarious along with its other tow movies. Friday, the first one comes second in funnyness but it's still funny, keep that in mind. Friday After Next comes in last it's okay but it's not as funny as the other two. If you want thriller why don't you get the Saw series. Their are three and all three are great movies. Their twisted and mind bending. Why don't you consider these? I'm also a fan of watching movies and collecting DVDs so I'm always searching for a great movie. Oh by the way since you like sci-fi and thriller movies you should defitnately get Deja Vu. This movie will blow your mind.

I would recommend "Pursuit of Happiness" if you like emotional movies as it is a real good movie. Other recent movies that I would consider is Shrek 3. If I go a bit back I can think of two Adam Sandler movies namely Anger Management and 50 First Dates which are very good. I also liked Robin Williams Man of the Year. Don't buy Borat even if they give it for free!! It's disgusting. I would also recommend "Freedom Writers". It is a social movie, but I am yet to hear a bad word from anyone to whom I have suggested this movie. You can read the reviews of these movies that I have written at epinions: Anger Management: http://www.epinions.com/content_363907485316 Freedom Writers: http://www.epinions.com/content_363218308740 Man of the Year: http://www.epinions.com/content_354325270148 You can also read the other reviews of some of the recent movies that I have written there. Cheers! Ram

I loved 'Stranger than Fiction' because we are all Will Ferrell fans in this house. This is a different story for him as it is more serious than comic, but he is wonderful in the role. He plays a man who is the subject of an author's soon-to-be finished novel. He tries to prevent the outcome of the story all through the book and finds love along the way. It's heartfelt, touching and very cleaver. I also really liked 'Blood Diamond' with Leonardo DiCaprio. This is an amazing story about a man searching for diamonds who comes in contact with a man who also must find diamonds to save his son's life. It's riveting and the ending will make you cry for sure.

I am from Sri Lanka. I buy a DVD for less than $2. I have a collection of over 200 DVDs. But I know the USA will not tolerate piracy. I got some films recently. They were: The last king of Scotland Night at the Museum Casino Royale Some of the films I watched earlier were Da Vinci Code Ice Age 2 The "Night at the Museum" was a film I enjoyed after a long time. All the above films are good. But my suggestion is not to miss "Night at the Museum".

This weekend I watched Spederman 3. It's a great movie, and I think that would be a great choice to buy. Try it, you won't be disappointed. I hope you have seen Spiderman 1, and 2. If not, then 1st watch those films, and then go for the part 3. It will give you a better trail of the previous story. You will get to see some amazing stunts, actions, moves, and special effects in this movie, and whoever has seen it, has loved it.
