Do you have a lot of trouble with your piercings?

I have had my cartilage pierced for over 6 months now, and it still gives me a lot of trouble. My nostril (about the same length of time) and my belly button (over a year) also give me trouble from time to time. For those who have non-earlobe piercings, do you have a lot of trouble with your piercings getting sore or infected? If so, what methods do you use to "fix" the problems?

Okay, we both know the only piercings I have are in my ears...and I wear earrings so vey often:) But when I am wearing earrings and my ears act up, as they always do, watered down peroxide is the answer. They used to sell it at Claire's....it's about a tenth as strong as regular peroxide, or you could just make it yourself with purified water and peroxie. The problem with straight peroxide is that it is so strong it can reopen the wound (hence the bubbling and the sting), so using something more mild can keep it clean and still avoid irritating it. By the way, how's Seattle?

I remember that stuff that they used to sell at Claire's, and they gave you a bottle when you had your ears pierced there. It's been so long ago that I had that done, though, that I had forgotten entirely about it. :) Seattle is good thus far--it was a bit rainy when we first arrived, and then yesterday, but otherwise it's been cool but sunny. I love it! :) (And I got the job! :) )

The only piercing I've had trouble with was my Monroe though it was the peircers fault. Basically, it went through my face because he gave me the wrong size jewelery though I said something to him about it. My nose has been bother me, gets dry & hurts, but i'm not sure if its because of the actual piercing. I also find that I get a runny nose more often & my colds last longer.

My nose piercing took about 4 months to heal. The one thing that really helped is hydrogen peroxide. Soak a cotton ball with it and gently clean the area of your piercing with it. Do it twice a day. It really helps.
