Why do students find easy corners ?

I know cheating is not a good habit but why do students find easy corners. Hard work surely pays in the end but why do students go after the charm of doing nothing, cheat and hope for fruitful results ?

May be because they are young, they want to have more time for fun and pleasure and the hard work is boring for them.
