My husband just started his two weeks vacation, and we cancelled our trip. We were driving across country and can't afford it now. With a family of five, we can't afford to fly either. So now I don't know what we are going to do for 2 weeks.

somethimes you have great places to go right in your own state! depending on where you live, it might be fun to do that! although its such a disappointment when you've planned on something else.

That's what we are going to do. There is a lot to do in our state. I think we are going to visit all the Lincoln sites and then go up to Chicago and visit all the museums, the navy peir, maybe go to Six Flags...who knows what all we are going to do. We decided to just drive down the road and play it by ear.

I'm not even worried about a vacation this summer. We'll stay close to hoe. Gas for everyday use is just too damn expensive. One time Iam extra happy I am home full time. I do errands together, in one trip.. Going here or there on a lark is too costly!! I agree flying may just be less expensive! Good to see you back l.!

No- not really- Wasn't planning on taking any long driving trips this summer- just short ones- I'll just budget the cost of gas in- It probably will be $4 by then- OMG! Yep I agree flying might be the cheaper way if you are planning on going a bit away from your house.
