I am taking about 4 hours tomorrow to do some crafting. I am crocheting a couple baby booties for a upcoming baby shower. I started a couple of diaper cakes and hoping to finish those also. I am going to make one of those organizers to use in my purses. It is similar to the one you see on TV that can be remove and place in purses. I found the directions on one of the crafting site. I am hoping to have a very productive crafting day.

I just finally got our living room almost entirely settled after our move across the country, and I FINALLY have a dedicated crafting area! :) So I've started working on some crocheted headbands, which I will eventually be tie dyeing and then hopefully selling! I have a lot of UFOs in my brand new crafting area, and I'm hoping to work through those slowly but surely. :)

I would love to have a room dedicated solely to crafting. I have my crafting supplies in three places. I have hard time being organize.

I am working on several projects. I just finished a baby poncho with matching hat. I am working on a sweater on the loom, crocheting a sweater, and an afghan on another loom.

This weekend I was up in NH with some friends. We made "tin can lanterns". To do this you need a regular canned food can....like a soup can, a hammer, and awl, sharpie marker and some spray paint. Take an empty tin can and drawer out the design you want to make on your can. You will be putting holes in the can withthe awl, so make your design connect the dots style. Then, fillthe can with water and put in the freezer. Let it freeze completely. This will make it so much easier to poke your holes. When frozen use the awl and the hammer to poke the holes of your design on the can. Lay the can on a dishcloth to keep it from slipping. When you design is done, you can spraypaint the can or not. These lanterns are great for nightimes use. Just put a votive candle in them. I especially like using citronella candles for night time cookouts.

I just finished making a camera cozy. Black with blue hearts and blue lining =). I usually try to restrict myself to small projects that I know I can finish in a designated amount of time. Otherwise, I'll just end up with what Stephanie Pearl-McPhee describes as startitis... and I'll have raw materials up the wazoo everywhere around me! Not like I don't already have a problem with stray materials sprawled all over the floor in plastic bags =P. Mmmmm... I will definitely need to have a designated craft corner when I have my own place... one of these days. =)
