Another young celebrity shows that rehab is just a joke. They do what they want...big publicity...rehab...then they come out and do the same thing again. I am so sick of these airheads. What the report doesn't show but I saw on TV that she got out the car, ran, left the scene of the accident then one of her buddies drove her mercedes away from the scene. Someone videotaped the whole deal. What is is going to take to make these people realize thay could kill someone??? Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday after her convertible struck a curb, and investigators found what they believe is cocaine at the scene, police said. Lohan, 20, and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m., Sgt. Mike Foxen said. It appeared Lohan was speeding, Lt. Mitch McCann said at an afternoon news conference. Officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine, McCann said. He declined to say where the drug was found other than to say Lohan was not carrying it. Lohan, who spent time at a rehabilitation center earlier this year, was driven in another car to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, McCann said. The two other people in her car were not hurt. Officers received a 911 call about the accident and arrested Lohan at the hospital for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, McCann said. She was released from custody because she was admitted to the hospital, police said. Lohan will have to appear in court to answer the citation, first reported on the Web site of X17 Inc., a celebrity photo agency. The crash was Lohan's third accident in about two years. In October 2005, Lohan and a passenger received minor injuries when her convertible hit a van in West Hollywood. Authorities said the van driver, who also received minor injuries, was at fault. Well in my view of things. Celebrities these days get off so easily, that they get to feeling that the law just doesn't hold to them. Yes they may get arrested, but in the end they have the money to persuade the out come of any judgement that may be of any strict nature. Even the ones that do serve jail time, they have never really served the full sentence. They are always getting out in some manner, and are right back to doing what is was before they ended up there in the first place. As for rehab, I really don't think celebrities stay in them long enough to really do them any good. They stay until they think they are clean, and release themselves, and when the temptation is set before them again, they cave in and go for it once again. Again going back to them feeling as if nothing can harm them, and they can do as they please. No I don't think to highly of most celebrities, just because of this crap they pull and how they are treated as some form of higher power than normal individuals like you and me.

Jail time is a joke we know she would probably ger a cushy hotel/cell just like Paris Hilton. I think they also pay the rehab doctors to say they are clean and it is our legal system that helps to make them think they can get away with anything.

You know, I think you are right with that statement. When I heard that Paris was going to some "specialty jail cell" it down right made me furious. Eh, so what they got money. They broke the freaking law, and should be treated like the low-life, spoiled rotten, scuzz balls that they are. Maybe if they served this "hard time" it would straighten them out and make them realize that they aren't above the law, and aren't any different than a normal citizen. Oh but wait what am I thinking this will never change, because money speaks louder than anything else possibly can. *rolls her eyes*

Good idea but not a luxury cell. Let them both see and feel how it is in the real world.

This is a prime example of how rich kids with no parental guidance turn into menaces to society. I think they should all be locked away for at least six months. None of this rich kids rehab baloney since it doesn't work because they are too lenient on them. It really is time to show these airheads a taste of the real world.
