Making Christmas Presents

In an effort to save money and please all the people that we need to give gifts to at Christmas, we try and make a few things during the year. Last year we made a box out of tobacco slats and put polished stones and candles in it...
How about you? When do you start and what do you make?

You know I used to buy and make gifts and I could do a lot with a few pieces of wood.
I made my parents a bird house once and my grandmother a jewellery box which played music just like those she used to think was precious when she was younger.

you can always make gift baskets up with items that you can get off the internet for free, this can be little samples, creams, make up etc and make a beauty basket
