Yes, I think walking is very helpful. I just started, I know last year when I started walking I came down a whole lot(lbs) do it more. I do 4 laps that equals to 1 mile. Ok, so this week I walked 3x, but I am going to increase it to everyday! 7x a week. I like to walk early in the morning. I will walk starting tomorrow, 2x a day. early in the Morning and at night when it cools down. those are the best times for me. I was talking to this lady, that walked 8 laps, she saids she does 2mi. a day. Is that good, she said she lost 9 lbs. I think that was great.

I think that is great. Exercise has a ton of benefits and they reach far beyond weight loss. I think exercise works as a great stress reliever for me. I am going through a very stressful time in my life and exercise is one thing which helps me to cope. The key is to gradually increase all the time.

Sure thing honey. Walking is healthy because it is exercising. If you walk in the day, you will get some vitamin D (?) from the sun too. You can proceed gradually to brisk walking or even jogging as you become fitter. But remember, take it slow so that you will enjoy it and keep this good habit.

You are very right in that walking is healthy Marcia, I just don't get out and do it like you are doing daily and I really admire you for this. I have a treadmill in my office but I don't even get on it like I should and I have no one to blame but me. I have problems with my legs though so I can't hold out very long.

I'm sure you are right. I've got to make myself get back into the habit. I have lymphedema in both my legs though so I tire very easily. I can't usually hold out more than 5 minutes at a time. :)

Walking is one of the best exercises. I like to walk but have not been doing in on a regular basis for the past year. I got out of sync and I am having a hard time getting back into the routine. I like to work in the morning or evening. I usually walk 1 or 2 miles each time I go. For awhile I was walking 7 days a week. Now I am lucky if I get in a couple times a week. But this summer I plan on getting back to walking every day.

Congratulations on losing weight and finding a great way to do it. You are right that walking helps you lose weight. Years ago I started a new job and as the buses turned out to be really unreliable I got into the habit of walking to and from work even though it took ages it meant I was never late. I lost loads of weight and toned up and it was the only thing I was doing differently. When I first started the job I was going on the bus but it was only after I started walking there that the weight just fell off.

Walking is one of the best and safest forms of exercise. It's also one of the cheapest since all you need is a good pair of walking shoes. A trick that exercise trainers tell their clients is to wear your walking shoes every day so that if you have a few extra minutes on your lunch hour or during a coffee break, you can walk. Good luck.

Walking is really healthy. I think it is best exercise one can do without any further waste of time for body building. If a persons takes a morning as well as evening walk for a certain distance depending on age he will be fit

Yes, I think it is good for our health. After dinner, I often walk 30 minutes with my bf. Sometimes he will talk about something happened during his workday, and sometimes we dont talk with each other and enjoy the beatiful scence in the evening. Then we are in good mood, and have a sound sleep. Sometimes my bf is very tired after working, so we watch entertainment program at home. Then we have a good sleep, too. So i think you must keep a calm mood, then you will have a sound sleep.

will not say that no one has ever had success with them, because that is not true. There certainly are cases of people who are successful with them. However, I can't tell you how many clients I have come to me who have tried popular diet after popular diet and have failed at each one. The typical reason is that each person's nutritional needs are VASTLY different based on many, many personal factors and popular diets don't take that in to account. Believe me, before designing anyone's nutrition plan I send them a thorough 2 pages of questions, that sometimes turns in to 4 pages before we are done. There is a lot to consider in deciding the best way for someone to eat in order to lose weight

Yes walking is safe, easy form of exercise and is good for health. One should go for long walks in the morning it acts a destresser, declutters your mind and help you freshen up for the day ahead. So walking in a park bare feet on dew with cool breeze can be real fun. I think one burns calories from the body and it will help one to keep in shape and be fit. Cheers.:)

Yes, I too love to walk for exercise (and relaxation!) I have recently bought a pedometer and it is actually fun trying to discover ways to increase my steps. The American Heart Association says that folks should aim for 10,000 steps a day! It seems when I wear the pedometer I am much more cognizant of walking than when I don't wear it! When I wear it for instance, I will not drive around a parking lot for 5 minutes looking for a spot that is close to the door. I take a spot further away and walk! Ha!

Walking is one of the simplest and safest aerobic exercise you can do. It will help you strengthen your bones, control your weight, and condition your heart and lungs. Walking is much more preferable than running or jogging because it creates less stress on your joints, including hips, knees, and ankles ^_^
