Parents approval of choice of partner important to you?

We all have our set of parents who have envisioned us spending ur life with the right partner. Sometimes they approve of our choices and sometimes they dont.
How important is your partner's parents approval of you important to you? And your own parents approval for your choice?
For me it is very important for my boyfriend's family to like me and vice versa.

Dear bindishah
I think taking parents advice is a good thing.. but if we are really interested in someone then it's all our decision .. it is we -- who know the person better .. rather than our parents .. so it's totally our decision. Yes I will definitely feel bad if my parents won't approve my choice of partner .. but as long as I think he is made for me .. I will deny other things.

Thank you so much for your response. You are right, ultimately we have to stay with the person. So if we love them then nothing else matters.

for me, its important that you loved each other.what is better when you partner choose you because he loved you so much even with out the approval of parents.

i think the word parent resembles the unconditional love that they give so i think wether it is your parents or yur patners parents both approvals are equally important
