Do you have smalll pets that are free to run around your house/apartment....

I have 3 ferrets that basically have the run of my apartment from morning until late in the day and it's like having kids running wild all day. Before I take them out of their cage I have to make sure certain things aren't easily accessible to them, mainly anything with sugar or the sugar bowl..lol...everything else I try to at least just keep an eye on so I can find it later in the day. These guys are known for taking everything they can and hiding it. Making it like a scavenger hunt for me 24/7. But I have to admit I love them and all their antics.
Do you have a small pet that would probably drive someone crazy but because their part of your family it's no problem for you? Do you know anyone with a small pet who when you visit them you have to hold on to your purse or hide your keys "just in case"? Please tell us about your small animal experiences.

I used to let my birds have free roam of the house and I know that it botherd some people....because as soon as someone would walk in....they'd fly around like crazy.I never had a problem with it because I'm used to it....but I guess it can be a bit scarry for some.I used to have a pet squirrel....which most of the time ran loose in the house....talk about freaking people out...lol.
I love critters and it never bothers me when people let them run free....most of the time it's just to funny watching them.
The best one was when I had my rats and yes they would run around the house as well.One time a friend of mine....who is terribly afraid of rodents....came over while they were out and I never seen someone run as fast for the door as she did.Any time after that....she'd always ask if they are in the cage before she would come in..lol.
I guess in some cases it can work to your advantage having critters run free....especially if it's someone you don't want around anyways...lol.

I had a rabbit that i used to let run free then he ate my computer wires and phone cord so i figured that wasnt a good idea anymore
