how to rate

im still new to this so was hoping that someone could explain to me (mylot faqs aint very clear) how the rating system works.
do you rate everyones messsages or just those that post to your descussions, also how can you tell if ur answer has been rated???

i rate all to the discussions my friends started,the ones answered from my discussions to the ones i answer.

i think rating alol the discussions your friends start with a plus is also a good policy

well, im not new but all i can tell you what i do. I mark every discussion i respond to as a plus, simply because to get my attention it has to be worth it and it helps me later judge which discussions i have responded to. Also, i give all responses to my discussions a plus, unless they are abusive to me or are less than one line in length. If there is flagrent site abuse i report them to mylot.
Im not saying this is right, i too find the faq confusing, but its how i do it, hope it helps
