Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick

Diplomacy definitely has hits limits. When was the last time you tried to talk to a close-minded person to broker a truce? We all had our fair share of enemies, we all had our bad days and we all had our arguments. The best way to end one is not to give in to the other party but to explain things in such a way that it will lessen the pain both of you had to endure because of the misunderstanding. But it's easier said than done, isn't it? How do you convince people to believe what you are saying? Do you shout or speak softly? Can you hold your composure in the middle of a heated argument? ;)

I tend to raise my voice to to scare the other person, it is just my nature, even when I am happy and excited, I raise my voice as well. I am naturally loud. If I talk softly people know that I unhappy or not feeling well.
