My co-worker and I read the obits every day to see who has died. Then we talk about the people in the obits, wonder about their lives, check out to see what people died of and how old they were. My other co-worker thinks this is morbid and a little upsetting and thinks we are obsessed with death and dying. Do you read and wonder or ignore this section of the paper?

I read them everyday, i use to work in Nursing Homes and now that I have been out of them for about 5 years now I try to keep a watch in case there was any one from the NH that I cared for passed away and that way I could at least send flowers or go to the showing and show my respect to them.

I have the utmost respect for the people that work in nursing homes. It is nice that you care about the people you cared for and show them respect.

I know a few people that went into this line of work. The sad part is two out of the three are doing it for the good wages and the third because he wants to help. I hope when I am old I will get the ones that want to help and care like yourself.

Yes, I do read them. I use to laugh at people who did that, and now I do it. LOL
