Have you ever seen Thomas? It's my 2 year old's favorite show. I love the ones where Alec Baldwin is the narrator. The one I saw today had alec baldwin doing the voice of Sir Topham hat's wife. I love how he does the voice for her. I think it's funny. My son is obsessed. I want to do his room in thomas but I am afraid he will outgrow it and not like thomas anymore. Do your kids have a room decorated like a character? If so, did they outgrow it quick?

My son really likes Thomas, too. We were considering doing his room in Thomas, but decided it was too expensive. We are getting ready to put him in a toddler bed, and the only Thomas beds we could find were over $200! We decided to Sesame Street instead. :) I'm not too concerned about him outgrowing his Sesame Street stuff. I think he will probably have at least another 2-3 years before he decides Sesame Street is too babyish (he's only 16 months old), and since he is our firstborn, the stuff will probably get reused. That's one great thing about the fact that he loves Sesame Street, even if he gets a little sister, she will probably like it, too.

Yep Sesame is good! My 5 year old still likes it, although I dont know if he'd want his room that way, he likes Elmo alot still!! I saw a Thomas bed online for $50. It was a smaller toddler bed, that used a crib sized mattress, but I also saw the expensive $200 one at toys r us. That's crazy for a toddler bed! It is expensive to redecorate their rooms!

Yes my daughter did- She had Pooh in her nursery- My pick of course—That stayed until we moved and she choose her own- Part of the deal of moving to make it less scary for her was a new room- and new everything- LOL She choose Barbie- She outgrew that fairly quickly- but I made her keep it- I bought curtains, bedding, sheets, pillows- you name it- As she got older- and we bought our new house- she chose a purple butterfly bedroom- It’s great! She has had it for 2 years and is getting sick of it- LOL she wants a sealife room now- and she is moving rooms soon- so we will change it! Why not let him get Thomas- it would be cute—then again I only have 1 child- so changing the room isn’t a big deal- I can see with changing 4 rooms-

My oldest LOVED Thomas. He still plays with his train sets and watches the movies and he'll be 9 in July. I doubt he'd want his room decorated with Thomas anymore though, he prefers his "Cars" posters and bed set now. The way I always handled the "character/theme room" problem was to buy all the big items in just plain generic styles...white dressers, wood or white beds, plain toy boxes, and get all the little things in the character or theme of choice. A comforter, sheet set and a few posters make a big impact on a room. And those are things that you'd probably have to replace after a few years anyway so it won't matter if he becomes a Diego fan when he's 4 and a Sponge Bob fan at 6. I'm currently just hoping that my 2 year old still loves "pi-er man" (Spiderman) for awhile, his grandma bought him the bed for his birthday...guess the baby better grow up to like him too!

I haven't watched much of this show, but I have seen it a few times and I liked it. I have a friend whose children love this show and have a lot of toys related to it. My daughter has her room decorated with Care Bears. She loves them and although I wanted to do something a little more grown up,I think that she is happiest that I went with the Care Bears.
