Im from South Africa. I bought a year old filly from an old man for R220(about $30).Its basically for free. The horse was in the way of his Arabian Horses. The problem here is I know nothing about horses except how to ride and feed them. This horse is wild out of the bush and have kicked my wife when she was feeding it. Can someone maybe give me a few pointers on how to approach the horse and how to make it used to us. Thanx

The best thing you can do is give it a lot of time. This will take some time. Build a round pen no larger than 60 ft diameter so the horse cannot get away from you and is forced to be near you( The reason for a rouond pen is so that the horse does not get startled into a corner which will really scare it. If you already have a square pen close to that size just block off the corners. Eventually the horse will gain trust in you.
