What do you think about Computer virus and it solution antivirus? Did you think that the company who provide the antivirus is also create the virus? Most of my friend say so but none of them have any evidence. Its hard for me to belive it but it make sense.

I dont second that. I think it is preposterous to claim as you have unless you have solid grounds to base your claims on. Symantec (Norton Anti-Virus) is a reputed organisation, and they are the best in the business when it comes to anti-virus solutions. They cant just be dealing with viruses. And safe computing habits can actually lead to a virus-free practice. If these companies had decided to release viruses to promote their profits, then you would have been infected far more easily than you are now. The very fact that their products, mixed with some discretion on our part, are keeping us away from viruses rule out your claims.

I've heard the "legend," and I don't believe it at all. Antivirus vendors don't need to write viruses in order to build a profitable business. There are plenty of bad guys to write the code; by and by, many of them get caught and taken to jail. For the record, rarely are they ever employees of AV vendors, much less reputable ones. There are rogue security applications though, and yes, they do write malicious programs. Have you ever gotten a message on your screen, saying your computer is infected and you need to buy this program that can remove it for you? This is called "ransomware," and is a marketing tool for rogue vendors. Locating rogue security apps is not that hard. One of the easiest ways (IMO) is to check on siteadvisor.com If you want to see a long list of rogue antispyware apps, check out Spyware Warrior. Hope this helps!

hi, fyi, i'm a programmer so have deep sight on the skills of both side. a. antivirus much more clever than virus maker, it's easier to infect the system than to cure. b. most of virus, worm, malware, are created within minutes, with a very simple tricks (for them). c. antivirus programmer need to learn the whole system, contrast to virus maker they only focus on security leaks or system weakness. d. not all virus maker is bad, most of them teach us to use computer as friend not just a machine. they teach us to know well our system, if not, your system will easily infected although you have a thousand antivirus installed. learn well your system, that's the best antivirus ever.
