Ofcourse I will choose my bleoved Alma Mater since I am an alumna of La Salle. I am truly proud that I have once a part of this prestigious school... What do you think is the best school among this three? why? If you answer La Salle I give you the best mark, just kidding, I just want to know about Ateneo and U.P. because I know they are good schools too... Go La Salle! Go! Go La Salle rrrahhh! Ü

i will have to stick to my alma mater as well since it is the only school listed among the choices that i had gone to. even if the quality of education here in the philippines is degrading, UP still stands with the highest rank among all the schools. last night's documentary on GMA, shows that up is somewhere in the 250th (please correct me on this, anyone) rank compared to la salle and ateneo who have lower ranks among the top 500 schools in asia (correct me again please). with the rigid testing that we had to go through, the UPCAT can really filter the ones who can enter and survive in UP community.

i think it is the end product which is better these days! there are some graduates from prestigious schools but are not able to get jobs because of their high standards regarding their education. thanks jbelle!

I would surely agree with you that La Salle is indeed a good school My three sons who are now professionals are graduates of La Salle. I however, came not from La Salle but from Iloilo School Of Arts and Trades,a technical and vocational school run by the giovernment in Iloilo City. And if you ask me about my choice, then it would be pretty obvious between the three whom I would be biased to.

aww.. why is UST not included in your list? I am a student of the University of Santo Tomas. They say its for the middle level person, for the ones who are not rich and not poor, just right. Now, I can say that its wrong. Totally, definitely wrong. The tuition there right now is very expensive. I must say. We are not rich and they have this 20% increase in tuition fee. Heck. I don't want to stop studying because of this fee increase. It just states that EDUCATION IS FOR THE RICH. Even the University of the Philippines has increased its tuition fee. They must have free schooling since they have no money and they really have the brains. I hate those tuition fee increase. They reason out that "tuition fee increase is for the quality of education too, its for your own benefit" what's the difference between a low tuition fee and high? well the low means less problems a student can have while the high tuition fee includes, the problem on where to get money, if the student will still pursue his or her studies or what. I wish senator Chiz can do something about this. ;) [so much emotions on this post he he!]

hmm that sounds good. On the entrance examination of UST I put there the income we have for just 10k a month so maybe that's where they need to base their tuition. I belong to the B category you have mentioned. If categories like that will be implemented, then all will be better. From what La Salle branch are you from? because I think the other branch of La Salle differ the tuition fee from each other. A friend of mine is studying in La Salle Araneta I think and her tuition is not that high, oh maybe it depends on the course.

I graduated from la salle bacolod "the city of smile". My friends in dela salle told me that they also have a caterorized tuition fee. i think all la salle schools are the same since la salle are run by the St. John Baptist Dela Salle Brothers.

i am sorry i wasn't able to include your school. Thanks for bringing up that topic. you know one of the reasons im proud yet humble to say of being a lasalista? well, if you study in la salle it doesn't mean that you are rich. Good thing about la salle we have a categorized tuiton fee to cater all students rich or poor. category A (if you are a continuing student from La Salle, St. Scholalistaca and ateneo.) category B ( when a student is a graduate from all the private highschools). category C (from public schools) and category D (all varsity players and scholars). Like with me i don't pay that much since i belong to category B (i graduated from la consolacion college) compare to category A more so lesser if you belong to category C and D, right? And nobody knows from what category you belong it doesn't include in your i.d. in classroom you are all equal and nobody minds how much you are paying. ofcourse you will just know who are really rich in their face, things etc LOL. how about if they follow the categorize tuiton fee? do you think it will work?

Oh, Ms. Joan.. You are hurting my feeling with this discussion of yours. I am a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas. Don't you think that UST should be included among the three? Is UST not that popular and known at all? Is UST not a good school/university too? Yes, you are right, they are indeed good schools with great track records/achievements, but UST is definitely one of the leading universities as well. As a matter of fact, with regards to sports, UST has been the Number One overall for the last four years. UST has been involved into researches, developments and studies as well. I have nothing against those other schools, as a matter of fact, my TEAM Leader here is LA SALLISTA herself, and her bf is a professor in La Salle Taft too. My other officemate is from UP. She is the one who speaks French around here. My QA is from UST as well. Philosophy Major. My other co-worker is from UE. We are quite the colorful bunch around here. All with good qualities. All the same in the end. UST, Ateneo, La Salle, UP??? Where are you from?

Oh brandon I am really sorry i didn't mean to hurt you... I graduated from La Salle Bacolod only not even from De La Salle ok. Yes i agree that UST is also qualified as one of the prestigious schools here in the Philippines... I just choose the three since I think these three schools are always competing. I know there are great schools that i didn't include in the list like University of Asia and Pacific, PATTS, PMA, San Beda and your school too! Which are member of the PAASCU, the Philippine Accrediting of schools, colleges and universities... Oppss guys if i missed out you schools just state it in your comment... Brandon, gomenasai!

I'm not sure about it. I know that those Universities were the best from the rest. You're one of the lucky citizens of the Philippines because you're able to have your studies with La Salle. I finished my college with Caloocan City Polytechnic College, surely you have not heard this school yet. But I'm still happy because I've given the chance to take the College degree. I've dream of studying with those Universities but never come true, sigh.. Anyway, it's nice to meet someone smart like you here.

I'm not that much, lol! It's really different when you study with a University like La Salle, the quality of discussions is far different from us. Because of that I'm sure you're working a great company now, am I right or wrong?

Yes luckily, i am employed in a prestigious company... but i wish to work in government to serve our fellow country men and i know in government there would be a security of tenure. And in government i think they dont have a school discrimanation as long as you pass the civil service... Ü

i think it would be UP. why? because people there are not 'boxed'. i am a UP student. trying hard not to brag though. and culture is very diverse. seriously, it would be really weird if you don't find your place there.
