Union Abuse of Power

Whild traveling I was on 4 different toll roads in 4 different states. Two of the states used an electronic pass to allow people to drive through havethe toll charged to a credit card. In another state you drove up to a toll booth and pushed a button and received your ticket. In each case there was a person sitting in the booth reading and getting paid for it. I learned later that the Unions threatened to strike if the state used the automated system and eliminated any positions. Unions are slowly bleadiing us to death with unneeded workers and expenses. I remember the fights in the 60's with the real roads over the use of Breakman and Fireman on trains. They did not perform any function but had to be maintained and could not be given additional duties. The Unions almost distroyed the Rail Road Industry in this nation.

Not only do I consider the unions corrupt for fighting for such stupidity, I consider anyone who would accept such a position a thief. Taking money you know you didn't earn is wrong! Unions bosses have proven conclusively that they are just as greedy and corrupt as any of the CEOs they lie about resenting.

I have known some people who were senior executives for companies. Their life is not easy, they can be told that they have a week to finish up and train a new person because they are needed in another branch or division and will be moving 6000 miles away. Their family can follow in a few weeks. Or they may be sent to a different plant for a short period of time (6 months or less) and their family do not follow. Because of the efforts of people like these and what they go through millions of people have jobs that are able to live the American Dream. The Union Officals take the money and look out for themselves first. Have you ever heard of a Union Offical getting fired?
