Do You Shoot For a Goal Each Night

before you log out of myLot? Like with your Rating if you are at like say 500 for a Rating would you only post as many as you could for that day, or would you make sure and post until you stop at 525 or so for the day? Or does it depend on your mood, or do you not let this bother you and just post what you can and hope from the best from there? I know with me, I shoot for a certain amount if I can before I log out for the night, and even sometimes before I head off to work if I can. Sometimes that may only be 10 discussions a day at most due to my Busy schedule, and then somedays I may have time to post a lot on here. I know I have a personal goal by the end of the month of reaching 4400 for a rating. I know we are getting closer to running out of time, but I know I can do it. Luckily for me, I have Wednesday and Thursday off and Thursday is the end of the month, so it should easily happen.

When I first started with mylot, I was very concious of the number of postings that I made. I always wanted to end with a number that is a multiple of 5. Then I started to have more fun with this site. I don't even know where I am right now for posts. I just post when I have time and have fun reading responses. Good luck on your goal.

It is essential to set goals in life. They do help you strive for improvement in the future. I think that the higher you set your goals, the more successful you will be.

Well, I hear you here on some days just to find time to post a couple is like pulling teeth as life gets so busy, but I still find myself if I can, trying to stop at a certain number if I can before signing off and heading to work, or bed, etc.

Well, usually when I log on each morning, I have a goal, of say doing 30 responses. I would like to be able to start four discussions. I almost never achieve the goal of either. There are many distractions. My husband, for a start, thinks most of what I do on the internet is a waste of time. Then there's jkobs to do, such as beds, washing, etc. My ghusband would like me to do more housework! Also, six days of the week, I take my daughter to swimming training.

I know what you mean. I have a Full time job, and so that in itself takes up a lot of time, and then I am a avid Church goer, so that takes time away too. So with these, and the other things I do online that bring in some Extra money it sometimes is hard to even answer 10 discussions a day at times. But I set more realistic Goals on my days off and then try to achieve those if I can.

I am here to know people's opinions about a diverse range of topics and issues. I feel that it helps me relate and connect to these opinions. Many people take ratings seriously, but I dont worry too much about ratings. I work as a software engineer, and do this in my leisure time and try to understand people and value their opinions. As a result, I'm not at all bothered about ratings. However, this site has helped me a lot to understand and respect other people's opinions !!

I love to work with goals, but since I am pressed for time, I work within my time frame, which can and will change from day to day

I use to make goals for myself when I first came to mylot. With all this nice weather these days I find myself spending less time here in mylot so I am not making goals like I use to. I guess I should start again so that I can raise my earnings back to what they were when I first started. Like you there are some days where I will respond to just a few discussions and other days where I will respond to a lot more.

I'm quite new with myLot and I'm quite surprised that you guys get to respond at least 500 discussions a day. Wow... Maybe it's time I should set a goal for myself too.

Sometimes. I try to make it to a certain number a day but lately I have been lazy and not really keeping track so I have no idea how many i've been making. lol I will make it a point to write down my number and see how I did when I get off for the night.

there are really times when i feel lazy, too. being here for 9 months, there really are those lazy times. and so, at those days, i am not able to get into my higher goals. but atleast, the minimum i do is 10 when i feel i am not in the mood.

I use to do this..but it really takes the fun out of it..why worry about shooting for numbers..mylot is a forum and discussion..I really dont use mylot for my income..I am grateful that I make extra cash..but simply to see my number rise..that is not why I am here on mylot.. I know there was a time when my on line activities preoccupied my mind.. Now I peek in and try to jump into some discussions and talk about things that interest me and thats that..I am not trying to see how much I can squeeze out of each visit here;)+

Usually I will have goals for a day on Mylot, but that also depends on my mood. If I don't feel like making posts today then I won't do it. If I'm in the mood, I will set a goal I know I can do for myself, a goal I know can work. It could mean only making 30 long posts a day or just starting a few discussions. I'll even try to leave comments to my responders. Maybe I'd say something like "I want to reach X posts by my avatar within X hours!" This helps me stay motivated to work here on Mylot. It's a challenge. Actually, I wouldn't even call it work because I'm having so much fun typing that it doesn't really become a chore. I make myself do it, but I need to have fun otherwise Mylot can become pretty boring. I try my best not to make it boring.

Yes I am the same as you. I think a lot of people on here seem to even their number of posts etc for the night. I like to go for a 5 or 10 finish! Sometimes I'm not on here each day so I catch up on the days I can. It must be in the fanatical personality I think haha.

Sometimes I do this but I've gotten so far behind with all of mylot that tonight I decided I have until midnight to get something accompliched. I went through my email notifications and deleted all but 2 discussions from each friend. A few I only saved 1 because they NEVER respond to my discussions. My goal tonight is to respond to the 50+ discussions from my friends :)

I spend a lot of time reading discussions and most of the time I am lucky if I make 10 cents a day. I never have a goal as to how many posts I will do a day.

For me it all depends on time. I don't have much time to get on here. When my daughter takes her nap that is when I do mylot and that is only for about two hours. I usually strive to do at least 10 responses a day and one discussion a week. For the past three days I have been doing more than 10 responses. I also have a goal to reach my first payout this month. I'm two dollars away. Good luck with acheiving your goals.

for sure you can reach your goal krausehome. you're already on your way there! as for me, i always put a goal whenever i am in mylot. it depends on my mood, too. mostly, i won't log out unless i have posted 50 responses, or 60, or 100 posts. there are even times when i am really in a very good mood when i can post up to 150. and whenever i do get to my goal before logging out, i feel so good. but oh, i do take breaks, too. like for lunch and snacks.

I dont like to set a goal for myself because if I dont reach it I get mad at myself. I just try to do the best I can and respond to as many as I can. If I happen to think of a discussion to start then I will if not then I wont.

I used to and now have another site that pays consitently more and I am that way with it. I still answer what I can from my friends list since their notification is on. I miss some of my older friends. They seem to have dropped off somewhat. I hope you reach your goal!!

i do make goals, but i hardly achieve them on mylot. if i think of responding to 25 discussions , i end up replying only to two.Lol. i guess this is because i view mylot basically as an entertaining site where i can interact with people and discuss on their views. I am more interested in seeing the response others give to my response and the reaction of the discussion creater. As it is the earnings on mylot are negligible, so i dont think its much use straining yourself and getting tired. but yeah.... its natural to aim at things, and i guess everyone here makes goals, notwithstanding most of them fail to do so.

In the first one or two month of my joining here in Mylot I used to set a goal for everyday like 30 posts. I did achieve it sometime and sometime did not. It all depends on time and mood. But now a days I am without any goal. I just come here whenever I can and post few responses. I am posting so less of my own discussion.

I don't have any goals. I just post as I see a discussion I can contribute with my opinion. Your goal is nice goal, since it is not too difficult and not too easy.
