it is hard to exlain the topic.especialy in china nowadays.tha social is changing so rapidly.i encounter the same problem as you.i once regreted for have entered university.but at the same time you have to be fully aware that money is just one aspect of one's life.maybe you earn lower salary than those who dropped out school at present.it doesn't mean they are totally wealthy than you.you get a better education\make good friends in your cumpus ect.. as for money.i recommend "rich dad, poor dad" to you,it is a good book for young people.best wishes to you.

I will read the book you recommened.but I also think money is just one aspect of life, but the fact is:without money,we can not buy anything or do anything.

"rich dad, poor dad" is a god book to read. but when you reached halfway throught the book you realise that you NEED MONEY TO MAKE MORE MONEY, Its investments. For the regular joes (and janes) working 9 to 5, this would be hard if you pay is not sufficinet to do any investing.

ok,sandwedge.you are definitely right.but the book's main idea is that the main difference between poor and rich is just the idea.for example:his poor dad want him to save money.the rich one advise that he should invest.the poor one suggest he to find a stable job which can give him a secure income.but his rich dad said haveing a stable job is risky...... i am ordinary people in china.i follow my parents advice.i made good performance in grades.and enter university.but now my living situation is still in dissatisfying condition.after i read the "poor dad and rich dad",i find we should change our traditional point of view on money....so want is your opinion?

I regard university education is a self-development. I learnt so much when I was there for 3 years. I regard it as part of my best memories ever. I think it's useful in teaching us critical thinking no matter what subjects you were taking. And I think it's useful in shaping our people skills, communication skills and personalities. Well, I don't think these are something tangible and this might not cause us to have a good job or have a good amount of money directly. But I do think what we learnt in the universities help to build a better future for us. Don't lose your hope, you just have to be more long-sighted!

I think you are a good student, when in university,I did not work hard, but I still had a good scholarship, maybe it is because of my major.but now my job has nothing to do with my major.

I'd say yeah. I was the first to graduate from a 4 yr on this side of it. My parents both did some college, no degree. My sister has an A.A. type in bible stuff from bible college. But me? Yes I have a B.A. in communcations. But with NO internship I cant find a real job. So I am working on getting an internship and then I shall have what I needed all along I hope. Either experience and job or just experience. Its how it is. But I do know its worth it. Just not the bill after, I have like $30,000 to pay back in school loans. No comment :/

Personally, the piece of paper is important in getting the job you wish you have, but most of it depends on how much you are willing to do to get what you want. Are you the person that is willing to work hard and do anything to excel and even starting at the bottom and slowly move up? I'm currently in a job that had nothing to do with what I studied in school and I'm getting pretty good pay. I was willing to work hard and I learned fast where I proved to my boss what I was capable of. My suggestion is to finish university have the piece of paper and work at what you like to do and work hard at it. Good luck.

I think you are not alone. At times, it does seem that getting that university education was a waste of time as compared to our other friends who gave their best and started working early. However, do note that not all dropouts become successful and earn a lot of money. You may be slogging through work as of this point, but since you have chosen the academic route, you should think about getting all the necessary certifications from here onwards. The university degree is but a basic certification. Think about upgrading yourself and make yourself more employable. Think of it as gaining more experience before you decide to make that leap of faith into maybe starting your own business.

I think university is useful for us, though the education in China is not good. Because I have learned some inportant knowledge, either on my major or on life and society, in the university. Maybe you think it 's much different from the knowledge you learned in university and the reality you have to face in society. In my opinion, what we taught in university is just a way to solve the problem, but not a way to solve every problem. So We have to learn how to balance them in society. On the other hand, Choice is very inportant for us when we studied in university. Not every course is useful for us. So we should choose ones that are important for our interesting and our future.

I think it was worth it because I learned things in and out of the classroom I wouldn't have learn otherwise. GRanted I have loans to pay back, but that will also help establish some credit for myself.

I think going to university and have more education is useful. Maybe you can't see its advantage today, but it'll show tomorrow. Nobody can steal your knowledge. My parents paid a lot for me to go to university, too. They don't really expect you can return to it. They just hope you learn something and then in the future you can depend on yourself.

There are a lot of people i know are school dropouts or they prefer to restrict themselves to be graduate, no further indepth studies like masters degree or Ph.D, and had started earning a good decent income.Ask them, they will come out with this answer only, " A bird in hand is worth of two in Bush."

dont think that studying universities is just waste of time or money, in my veiw its the best option. And more over think positively and never compare your self with others, its the one that really drags us to drain. compare with the person who is below than u in respect of knowledge or money and observe the persons who are high in it and try to motivate your self by just observing not by comparing ok and one thing your friends who have dropped in between , ask them about their struggles to earn money..and you realize definately...ok thing smartly and positively....
