Kobe Bryant once scored 81 points in a single NBA game, a feat that is more confounding than it is astounding. Launching as many shots as Kobe does a night is like feeding a slot machine nonstop for weeks. Sooner or later it is going to pay out.Less though, probably, than what you dumped into it. So what's the point? Kobe scores 50 just about every game these days, but there isn't going to be jackpot at the end all those 3-point rainbows. The chances of the Lakers making an extended playoff run are about as good as Al Roker winning a triathlon. SO WHAT'S YOUR OPINION IS KOBE BETTER THAN MJ?

Nope.. No way! He's a ballhog! I cant see or even imagine him to be better than the great one, michael jordan,. Yes he have scored 81 points.. he's already in the history books.. but what does it lead him to? Nothing.. No championship with him as the leader, and definitely a playoff loss. Maybe he can be as good as Michael if he has lots of back-ups like that of Scottie Pippen and Steve Kerr..

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are two different Basketball generation superstars. Jordan made a name for himself in the 80's and mostly in the 90's. Kobe is starting to really shine this last seven years only. Yes, Kobe did score 81 against the Raptors last year. We know he can score and create shots for himself, both crazy and fancy ones. Since O'Neal left the Lakers, the Los Angeles Lakers is pretty much Kobe's team right now. He literally has one entire team carrying on his shoulders. But what happens when Kobe does not perform the way he supposed to perform? Well, Lakers loss most of the time. What the Lakers lack really is consistency. Without a Kobe in its line-up, they are struggling big time. Now, is Kobe better than His Airness? I would say No. Look at Jordan's resume and compare that of Kobe's. I would say MJ's list quite longer than the latter ones. Jordan has 6 NBA rings to back it up with MVP awards both from season and NBA Finals. Jordan has more awards, speaking from an individual stand point of view. He got Rookie of the Year, All-Star MVP, Season MVP, Finals MVP, 10-time scoring titles, Slamdunk Champion just to mention a few of numerous achievements already. Though Kobe is still pretty young, there are many stars rising nowadays, including Carmelo, LeBron, and Wade. It will be difficult for Kobe to rank up more awards/achievements with others.

No, but hes started to become more of a team player as of late which he should do. His field goal percentage is lower than jordans for his career. Bryant and Jordan shoot about the same percentage from the free throw line. Bottom line is Jordan scores better and makes his team better than kobe does which makes him better.

Hy! Kobe Bryant never can be like Michael Jordan. Kobe play individual,he make alone 50 points and Los Angeles lose that game.Basketball is a team game, how much champions rings win Kobe, one? and how muck Jordan..5.or 6? Chicago was the best team in the world with Michael Jordan playing...L.A with Kobe is a team with a lot of problems.I don t see Kobe defending..like Jordan. Michael Jordan is the best all time ever.

I don't think so,although Kobe has scored 81 points in a single game,he also win the final champion, but I don't think he is better than Jordan,Jordan is the key player who can often beat the other time in the last several seconds, what's the most important he makes many children like the game all over the world, but Kobe is just a good player

DEFINITELY NOT. im not a kobe hater but kobe is JUST a scoring machine, MJ can do that anytime if he's also a ballhog. MJ is also a scoring machine but he's not just an ordinary scoring machine he's a proven leader on and off the court. his teammates respects him not only for his scoring capability but for his leadership on the team. i don't think kobe can win a championship without a shaq-like teammate. kobe needs to be a team player in order for them to win consistently just like lebron at cleveland.

Kobe Bryant will never be better than Michael Jordan. Michael is a better all-around player than Kobe and a better team player.

LoLz. Hell no! Kobe Bryant will never be compared to Michael Jordan and infact Kobe never played the same as MJ did. Believe me mate nobody thinks Kobe would be better than MJ. By the way as far as i remembered i did not recognized he scored that big and if ever that he did well he's like an alligator who does not know how to play like a team. This is just my opinion feel free for those who opposed my comment. hehehe.

Jordan was the better ballplayer than kobe. Sure they both both know how to score but the difference between the two was that Jordan used his team. For example if Jordan had a chance to kick it out to the 3 pointer shooters such as Paxon, Kerr, or Armstrong he would use them. With Kobe he would try to make a play out of anything, and thats one of his downfalls. Now also in the 80's when Jordan was playing, he had a hardtime shooting and dribbling with his left hand, until he finally learn how to go to the hole and and use the left.

Impossible. Kobe is a great player, probably the best among the current active nba players. But compared to Jordan, he needs more than just talent...leadership, character...among others
