Do you ever use your cellphone's OFF key?

Since the appearance of cellphones as affordable and useful means of communication, many people have developped some grade of dependence on being in contact 24/7. Of course, there are the message box, silent mode, vibration and even airplane mode which can be used when not disturbing others is imperative. But I'd like to know whether anybody uses the simple, old OFF button to tell the world you have retired to a private sphere and don't feel any obligation to be in contact. I do.

I use my OFF key button on my mobile when I'm attending mass. Also times when I don't want people to reach me but most of the time, I keep my cellphone ON for emergency cases. I just want other people to contact me whenever situations like that occurs most especially my family.. I'm actually very dependent on it nowadays..^_*

You know, I rarely turn my cell phone off these days. I think that when I travel by airplane, I go ahead and turn the phone off, as well as every couple of nights just so that the phone can reset and get refreshed. But other than that, I don't know when I do anymore. I simply put the phone on silent when at the movie theaters. Probably only when my cell phone is short on battery do I turn it off, to preserve what little charge is left.
